  • 12 teaspoonvanilla

    DIRECTIONS

  • Cream butter and sugar together.
  • Add eggs, buttermilk, baking soda, and vanilla.
  • Blend together well with mixer.
  • Mix in 1 cup of flour about 4-5 times until you have a good stiff dough.
  • Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Roll out dough to 1/4” thickness and cut cookies using desired holiday cookie cutter.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes until barely brown on bottom.
  • Cool completely.
  • Combine 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp milk, 1 1/2 tsp melted butter and 1/2 tsp vanilla for icing. You may add color if desired.
