DIRECTIONS
Cream butter and sugar together.Add eggs, buttermilk, baking soda, and vanilla.Blend together well with mixer.Mix in 1 cup of flour about 4-5 times until you have a good stiff dough.Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.Preheat oven to 350.Roll out dough to 1/4” thickness and cut cookies using desired holiday cookie cutter.Bake 8-10 minutes until barely brown on bottom.Cool completely.Combine 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp milk, 1 1/2 tsp melted butter and 1/2 tsp vanilla for icing.
