Co-op launches biggest ever pizza and beer deal for delivery ahead of football relaunch

Co-op will be offering a £5 pizza a beer deal ahead of the football season. This is its largest ever promotion and it begins tomorrow.

It is also the first time a deal like this can be bought through Deliveroo and can be delivered in 30 minutes.

The offer includes two Co-op pizzas and a four pack of Budweiser and will save customers up to £6.15.

Ali Jones, Co-op Customer Director said: “Football is finally coming home and our new great-value offering is perfect for feeding hungry fans.

“We’re thrilled that we can offer this deal to our Deliveroo customers for the first time too.”

As part of the offer which runs from 17 June until 14 July, customers can choose from Co-op Thin & Crispy Margherita Pizza and Co-op Thin & Crispy Pepperoni Pizza and can be mixed and matched.

A non-alcoholic alternative drink is also available (Coca Cola Zero Sugar Glass 4x250ml).

The deal will be available in Co-op stores nationwide, selected NISA and Costcutter stores and for the first time, will be available across 355 Co-op picking stores through the Deliveroo website and app.

The supermarket has two types on sale, with one disposable pack and one reusable, washable mask in the new line.

The store is selling a pack of five of Disposable Non-Medical Face Coverings for £3.

The store is also selling a Reusable Non-Medical Face Covering, which is also £3.

Thos mask can be washed up to 20 times and is better for the environment.

Masks are part of new coronavirus rules in Britain.

The government has published a new policy that members of the public must wear a face mask at all times of public transport.

The Number 10 Twitter account said: “You should wear a face-covering if you can, to protect yourself and those around you from coronavirus.”

Shops and other public places might begin to require masks as they open up.

In other food news, Greggs is reopening 800 stores from June 18. 

Eight hundred Greggs stores will open across the UK.

Roger Whiteside, Greggs Chief Executive said: “Over the past month, we have carried out robust trials using our new operational and social distancing measures and they have progressed well.

“This has allowed us to move to our next re-opening phase with just over 800 of our shops welcoming customers back this week.”
