Air fryers are all the rage at the moment, thanks to their ability to use less energy while cooking food at a much faster rate. Cedric Thompson, also known as Chef Ced, is a chef who shares his recipes to an audience of over 298.2k followers on TikTok and 148k on Instagram.

In a bid to help soothe rumbling tummies quickly at breakfast time, he shared a simple air fryer recipe which contains just “four ingredients and two seasonings”.

He described the recipe as a “kid-friendly air fryer hack” to create delicious bacon, egg and cheese toast.

When taking his first bite of the finished product, Chef Ced summed up the flavour perfectly, saying: “Wow”.

To make this recipe you will need:

  • Bread
  • Bacon
  • An egg
  • Grated cheese (of your choice)
  • Salt and pepper

In the video, Chef Ced places two slices of bread into his air fryer, the centre of which he presses down with a spoon to create a shallow dip to house the egg.

Next, he cracks an egg into the middle of the bread and tops it with bacon, salt and pepper.

Chef Ced explained you need to place the bread at “350 degrees in the air fryer for 10 to 12 minutes”.

Next, he explained: “Add cheese then pop back in for two more min until cheese melts.”

The recipe has been liked over 217k times on TikTok and shared 14k times.

Viewers have also flocked to the comments, with the video amassing 1,355 comments at the time of writing, sharing their take on the recipe.

One user said: “These be so useful when my mom is at work.” [SIC]

Another added: “As a mom getting three ready in the morning thank you!”

A third user suggested adding garlic powder to the recipe for added flavour.
