Trazia Rae is a TikToker with over 2 million followers who enjoys cooking and showing her followers new recipes. Recently, Trazia showcased a recipe on how to cook the perfect steak just like Gordon Ramsay, using only an air fryer.
Trazia has demonstrated the best way to cook a steak using Gordon Ramsay’s airfryer recipe. The recipe calls for two unusual ingredients, which are coffee grounds and Aleppo pepper, a Turkish spice.
However, some people who have done Gordon Ramsay’s recipe have not been able to find the pepper and substituted it was cayenne pepper instead.
In her cooking TikTok video, Trazia said: “So I did my research on this recipe and the videos that I found people were using Aleppo pepper and ground coffee. But when I did further research, there was a lot more to the recipe than those two ingredients.”

Trazia showed all the seasoning that would be going onto the steak and began putting all of them in a glass oven dish.
She listed the spices and said: “We have a quarter cup of ancho chilli powder, a quarter cup of ground espresso, two tablespoons of paprika, two tablespoons of brown sugar, one tablespoon of dry mustard, one tablespoon of kosher salt, one teaspoon of pepper, one tablespoon of oregano, two tablespoons of ground ginger and two teaspoons of Aleppo pepper.”
The cook then began mixing the spices together and said: “We are going to go and mix these up”. Trazia then showed her air fryer, and said: “We have our cooking creature, also known as an air fryer.”
Trazia then began quoting from Gordon Ramsay’s recipe, and said the recipe called for preheating your air fryer at 390 Fahrenheit (200 Celcius).

The cook then showed her “beautiful boneless ribeye” and said that before you began cooking, it was important to rub the spices onto the meat.
Trazia said: “We put our rub on the plate, lay down that ribeye, and then generously coat it…make sure to get the sides. Then we’re going to let it hang out for a little bit.” In Gordon Ramsay’s recipe, he suggests letting the steak sit on the place for around 15 to 20 minutes with the rub on as the longer you let it sit, the more flavour will soak into the meat.
After waiting, Trazia then lay her steak instead her air fryer basket. You can spray your air fryer basket with some oil before putting the steak inside.
Trazia then said: “Lay in that ribeye, then 390 for eight minutes.” If you like your steak for well-done, you can cook for longer at ten minutes and flip the stead to cook the other side if you would like it crisper.
After the air fryer was done, Trazia opened it to reveal a delicious-looking steak. She then let it rest for around ten minutes before cutting into it.
Trazia then revealed a slice of the steak, with looked beautifully seasoned on the outside but still cooked to medium rare as it was pink in the middle. She said: “Look at that, I’m not going to complain.”
After tasting it, Trazia said: The pepper really does it though, add a little more than two teaspoons.” She then topped the rest of her steak with compound butter, and it was ready to serve.
In the TikTok comment section for the video, people were amazed by Gordon Ramsay’s steak recipe. One user named Adam said: “Steak in the air fryer?! And it looks so well cooked! I’m shocked.”
One user named Christ said: “I made this and it was delicious” and another commentator was “Wow it looks perfect, I am gonna try this.”
However, some people were conflicted about using coffee for a steak recipe. One person said: “It looks awesome, you did great. I’m not sure about the ground coffee though, that seems weird” while somebody else said: “I once had a stead with a chocolate coffee sauce on it, it was amazing.”
