  • Marks & Spencer and Morrisons launch first recipe food boxes

The supermarket giant started offering food boxes for delivery during the coronavirus pandemic.

At first, Morrisons offered the basics with essential boxes for different dietary requirements.

This is something that has been done by many retailers over the last few months.

Since the first boxes were released, the retailer has added more options to its range.

Among these are the British Food Box, the Market Kitchen Street Food Menu Box and the BBQ Food Box.

The food packages range in price and the Best Meat Box costing the most, at £55.

It has recently added new boxes including one at the lowest price yet.

Italian Holiday at Home Box – £25

Posting on Twitter, Morrisons said: “Mamma Mia! We’re bringing a taste of Italy to your door, so you can enjoy ‘la dolce vita’.

“Check out our new Italian Holiday at Home Food Box. Order your box now for £20 + £5 delivery and receive it from 29th.”

It includes treats such as prosciutto, olives, pasta and tiramisu to help beat those holiday blues.

Yorkshire Day Food Box – £25

Yorkshire Day falls on August 1 and celebrates the English county.

The food parcel includes treats from the North to help Britons enjoy the festivities.

Morrisons website states: “We’ve brought your favourite Yorkshire products together to help you celebrate Yorkshire Day in style and support some great local and regional producers.

“Our box includes Yorkshire classics such as Grandma Wild’s Biscuits, Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese and of course good old Yorkshire Tea.”

Picnic Food Box – £20

With warmer weather expected in some parts of the UK, it could be the perfect time for a picnic.

The box includes ingredients to make sandwiches as well as picnic essentials such as cocktail sausages, crisps and houmous.

The box is designed to cater for two to four people.

At just £20, it is the cheapest food box currently on offer from the supermarket.
