This refreshing and effervescent drink is like summer in a glass. Diet tonic water and lime juice combine for a great low-carb alternative that doesn’t have a strong aspartame aftertaste. For the coldest drink possible, make sure your glass is full of ice before you strain the mixture over it.
Ingredients
- 6Persian cucumber slices (about 1/2 cucumber)
- 2(2-in.) lime peel strips
- 1/4 cup (2 oz.) gin
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (from 2 limes)
- 1/2 cup diet tonic water
- Thinly sliced lime
How to Make It
Step 1
Muddle cucumber slices and lime peel strips in the bottom of a glass.
Step 2
Stir in gin and lime juice to cucumber mixture; strain into a glass filled with ice. Top with diet tonic water; garnish with lime slices. (For more concentrated flavor, chill mixture 12 hours before straining).
