Starbucks Baristas Aren’t Loving the Tie-Dye Frappuccino

If you’re a regular MyRecipes reader or a Starbucks freak, you may recall the recent launch of the limited-edition Tie-Dye Frappuccino, a drink that looks like an acid trip and tastes like some kind of weird banana candy.

This may come as a surprise, but it sounds like a number of Starbucks baristas are pretty ready for the limited time offer to run its course. The problem here is that making the drink is a convoluted process requiring the mixing of multiple colorful powders to make a drink that honestly doesn’t sound all that appealing—and certainly doesn’t count as coffee.

An anonymous Starbucks employee told Business Insider that "It looks like it's going to be the Unicorn Frappuccino all over again, which the company said they wouldn't do again because of partner feedback," adding that “they don’t give a damn about us and it’s obvious.”

Don’t just take a barista’s word for it: plenty of customers don’t seem to be loving it, either.

And this Twitter user offered a set of two important questions you should ask yourself before placing an embarrassing drink order:

If you order one, just be sure to tip your local Starbucks barista a bit extra.
