Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Co-op are some of the latest supermarkets to recall items. Affected consumers should be careful not to eat these products.

These products are sold at Asda, Tesco and Morrisons.

The FSA issued a risk statement: “These products contain soya making them a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to soya.”

The agency also offered advice to customers: “If you have bought the above products and have an allergy to soya, do not eat them.

“Instead, please contact the Dolmio customer care line on 0800 952 1234 (UK) or 1890 812 315 (Northern Ireland) for a full refund or alternatively return to store for a full refund.”

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued a risk statement: “This product contains milk, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.”

The agency also offered advice to customers: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it.

Ben & Jerry’s Moo-phoria™ Peanut Butter Cookie Dough

The FSA said: “Ben & Jerry’s is recalling one batch of Ben & Jerry’s Moo-phoria™ Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Ice Cream sold at Sainsbury’s.

“As a result of a packaging error, it has the incorrect lid of Ben & Jerry’s Salted Caramel Brownie Ice Cream resulting in peanuts not being mentioned on the lid.

“This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.”

The FSA issued a risk statement: “This product contains peanuts making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.”

The agency also offered advice to customers: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to peanuts do not eat it.

The FSA issued a risk statement: “The possible presence of raw, uncooked prawns in the products listed above.”

The agency also offered advice to customers: “If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them.

“Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.”

The FSA explained why food recalls happen.

“Sometimes there will be a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold.

“Then it might be ‘withdrawn’ (taken off the shelves) or ‘recalled’ (when customers are asked to return the product).

“Sometimes foods have to be withdrawn or recalled if there is a risk to consumers because the allergy labelling is missing or incorrect or if there is any other food allergy risk.

“When there is a food allergy risk, the FSA will issue an Allergy Alert.”
