Back when the world was a habitable place and the days of the week actually mattered, few restaurant or bar-based rituals were as wrought with significance as happy hour. During the week, it’s an opportunity to grab a drink with coworkers and shed your office personas for a bit. On Fridays, it marks the official beginning of a well-deserved weekend.
But with nowhere to go and no sense of time, the happy hour has lost its potency in a world gripped by pandemic. That’s where The Cheesecake Factory’s Happy Hour To-Go menu comes in.
An effort to restore happy hour order to a chaotic world, the specialty menu features 10 food items, mostly consisting of full-sized portions of the casual dining establishment’s signature appetizers for $7.50 each. Among them are Roadside Sliders, Tex Mex Eggrolls, Buffalo Blasts®, Factory Nachos… that sort of thing. The real highlight of the happy hour menu, though, is The Cheesecake Factory’s specialty “Happy Hour” Burger, a double cheeseburger slathered in special sauce that should pair perfectly with a few beers. It’s so special that this is the only time of day it’s on the menu.

Speaking of beers, this happy hour menu obviously includes a few alcohol options as well. Specifically, you can pick up a bottle of The Cheesecake Factory’s house Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Cabernet, or Merlot for $15. You can also grab a six pack of Coors Light, Corona, Heineken, or Angry Orchard for $12.95, or create your own mix & match six pack for the same price.
Is it a little weird that there isn’t any cheesecake on the Cheesecake Factory’s happy hour menu? Maybe. But given that it’s only available from 2 to 4:30 PM on weekdays between now and May 15, you shouldn’t waste too much time worrying about that. So get your order in and get on that Zoom call, because you should definitely get some practice in before your next in-person happy hour happens.
