Wetherspoons is the popular pub and food chain where customers can get a meal for an affordable price. Known for their tasty burgers and pizzas, Wetherspoons has scrapped the traditional Christmas dinner this year and has instead gone for a selection of burgers, risotto and pizzas with a Christmas twist.

Last year, the menu proved to be extremely popular amongst customers with their traditional turkey dinner.

The turkey dinner included a turkey breast filled with sage and onion, served with Chantenary carrots, parsnips, mash potato as well as roasties,  pigs-in-blankets, peas, cranberry sauce and gravy.

It also came with a Yorkshire pudding, sprouts and peas, all for around £9.

However this year, food includes a brie and bacon burger, a chicken and stuffing burger as well as a chicken, stuffing, bacon and brie pizza.

With the winter menu being super affordable this year, Wetherspoons has several meals for customers to try.

The brie and bacon burger comes with a soft drink for £7.65 or £9.15 with an alcoholic and comes with a portion of chips.

The chicken and stuffing burger will cost customers the same and has the option to add an alcoholic beverage.

Pizzas aren’t usually associated with the festive season in any way but Wetherspoons has added a twist with their deep pan pizzas this year.

The chicken, stuffing, bacon and brie pizza will cost customers £8.49 with a soft drink and £9.99 with an alcoholic one.

All of their pizzas are made to order and are 11 inches in size.

The brie and smoky chilli jam pizza costs a little bit less at £7.48 with a soft drink and £8.99 with an alcoholic beverage.

There is also a vegetarian option including creamy mushroom risotto which is £6.35 including a soft drink. Those who want an alcoholic drink with their meal will pay a reasonable £7.85.

A brie and cranberry vegetable burger is also on the menu costing £7.65 with a soft drink and £9.15 with an alcoholic beverage – this too comes with a portion of chips.

This isn’t the first year Wetherspoons is not putting their classic roasts on the menu; the pub giant also did the same in 2016.

The outrage came months after the pub chain stopped serving all roast dinners to “focus on their core menu,” but returned with the Christmas roasts a year after popular demand.

For sweets, there is also a gingerbread muffin instead of a Christmas pudding.

The gingerbread muffin is packed with gingerbread sauce and topped with sweet syrup.

Available from November 12 until December 24, the Christmas menu will also include a selection of paninis too.

For lunch options, the pub chain has a chicken, stuffing, bacon and cranberry panini and a brie and cranberry panini for vegetarians.

Both cost £3.99 with a soft drink and £5.49 with an alcoholic drink.

Customers can also add a size of chips, salad or tomato soup for an extra £1.05.

There is also a small plate of pigs-in-blankets for anyone who wishes to add a side to their festive dish.

With Christmas celebrations likely to be smaller this year, it is important to follow the government guidelines when visiting your local Wetherspoons.

The current guidance is that you cannot sit inside pubs with anyone you don’t live with and food must be ordered on the app.
