The actor is one of this year’s contestants on I’m A Celebrity. The soap star is looking better than ever after changing his lifestyle and dropping a lot of excess weight.

Adam joined the cast of EastEnders in 1985 and played Ian Beale.

This makes him the longest-serving cast member the show has seen.

However, the beloved (and newly slim) actor announced that he would not be returning to the show after his stint in the jungle.

His most recent venture was a theatre production called Looking Good Dead.

In conversation with Lorraine Kelly on her show, talk quickly turned to Adam’s dramatic weight loss.

Lorraine remarked: “You’ve had a total transformation.”

On August 11, Adam shared a photo on Instagram of himself next to a cardboard cutout of himself from his bigger days.

Several fans took to Instagram to praise on the star’s weight loss.

Amanda Higg stated: “You’re so skinny now.”

Abi Beckford commented: “You look like you lost a lot of weight.”

Shez Jackson joined in: “You done very well Adam on losing weight.”

Emma Hughes stated: “Wow what a difference, you don’t even look like Ian anymore.”

When asked by Lorraine how he did it, the actor simply replied: “I just changed my diet.”

By his social media, it is clear Adam enjoys healthy food, such as sushi, fish and vegetables.

On Instagram, he posted a photo of a nutritious brunch: “avocado and sundried tomatoes on toast with a sprinkling of chilli and coriander” – topped with bacon, but moderation is key.

The account is also littered with photos of himself cycling in various destinations such as Cardiff and Kilburn.

Here, Eastenders fans can see the actor boasting the hashtags #AnotherDayAnotherBikeRide and #choosecycling.

Healthline stated: “Biking is often touted as a good low-impact option for aerobic exercise. It allows you to get your heart rate up with less wear and tear on your knees, ankles, and other joints, compared with running or jogging.

“It’s also a good way to help you shed extra pounds. That’s because you can burn an impressive number of calories while you’re pedaling, especially if you cycle beyond a leisurely pace.”

Lorraine commented that he looked “so happy”, to which he replied happily “I am”.

A new found love of healthy eating and working out is a proven mood booster, as well as having a weight loss benefit.

Adam also ran a marathon in 2017 alongside his son, and again in 2019 with his wife.

He admitted that although he completed the incredible feat, his time was not that impressive.

He said: “Somewhere around Poplar, might have been Docklands, I don’t know, we stopped and got an ice cream,” as reported by The Sun.
