Emma Weymouth: Strictly Come Dancing star uses this exercise plan to stay in shape

Emma Thynn Viscountess Weymouth is a fashion model and the wife of Ceawlin Thynn, Viscount Weymouth. Earlier this year, it was confirmed she would take part in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, which kicks off tonight. After her appearance was confirmed, Emma said: “I absolutely love watching Strictly every weekend and I can’t believe that I’m getting the chance to be on this series.” The model is in very good shape and has opened up about the exercise plan she follows to stay trim.

Body weight-only exercise is always an available option.

What is her fitness regime?

The mum-of-two has previously spoken out about her gruelling exercise routine which will have no doubt prepared her for Strictly training.

Posting on her Instagram account, the Viscountess shared picture of her doing her working out.

She recently shared a post on a portable exercise bike while in a bedroom, showing she is no stranger to cardio.

Writing for Vogue magazine, Emma explained the importance of exercise in her life and gave an insight into her routine.

The Viscountess said: “I believe exercise is a fundamental part of life, essential for keeping not only the body, but mind strong.”

The model then explained she likes to keep fit and gave details on the training routine she has followed.

She wrote: “Body weight-only exercise is always an available option.”

Emma revealed she will focus on short and intense exercises which can be done no matter where she is.

“Whether you’re in a hotel room, your bedroom, between the sofa and coffee table with Peppa Pig blaring out of the TV, you can do it,” the model added.

“No frills, no equipment needed, no excuses – and in under 33 minutes, it’s all over.”

Emma explained the type of training is called High Intensity Interval Training, HIIT, or Tabata.

She said: “HIIT exercise has been scientifically proven to be the most effective method when looking to transform or maintain your physique, as well as being an efficient way to build muscle and boost metabolism.

“One such form of this HIIT exercise is Tabata. Tabata consists of 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off, eight times, totalling four minutes.”

When trying to stay fit, many people will combine an exercise routine with a healthy diet plan. 

Eating foods high in protein and fat and low in carbs can help boost the metabolism and promote fat loss.
