Exercise is essential for both physical and mental health, and it can also contribute to weight loss. Laura “loves” to keep fit and whether it’s cycling or playing tennis, exercise has always been a part of her daily routine.
A fan of healthy eating to feel good both physically and mentally, Laura has previously spoken about following the keto diet.
This consists of eating foods that are low in carbs but high in fat.
However, the A Place in the Sun star stressed she “doesn’t keep to it all the time” and thinks “it should be a lifestyle” instead of a “diet”.
“Life is all about balance,” Laura said, admitting that she “dips in and out” of the keto lifestyle and “sometimes breaks it”.

“I’ll have a glass of wine or whatever.”
Laura went on to mention her favourite foods, saying she likes to eat “an omelette with bacon and cheese for breakfast”.
“And then for lunch, I might have salmon with cauliflower rice, or a steak salad with lots of broccoli and spinach,” she added.
As well as eating healthily, Laura does some form of fitness every day and believes exercise goes hand-in-hand with diet.

She said: “You can exercise as much as you like, but unless you follow a really healthy lifestyle and eating plan, then if you want to see results, you’ve got to have a healthy and balanced way of eating.
“There’s no point exercising five days a week and then eating a load of rubbish.
“It’s sort of pointless.
“It’s about what you put into your body as much as what you’re actually doing with it.”
The presenter added: “I love to exercise. I go to the gym, and over the pandemic I was doing loads of online workouts.
“I’ve just bought myself an Echelon bike, so I’m going to be able to do some workouts at home with that.”
Laura said she enjoys working out outside too, such as “going for a bike ride with the kids or playing tennis”.
“My children are very very active,” she said.
A Place in the Sun star continued: “Sometimes I go for a bike ride with friends or go for a run.
“Weirdly I prefer to run on the running machine.”
Laura also prefers to do other work outs in the gym, such as weights, than going for a walk.
The presenter often exercises in the morning, saying: “It gives me loads of energy and sets me up for the day.”
She highlights that exercise isn’t just about losing weight – it also “makes you feel good”.
“It releases endorphins.
“I would say to make a habit out of it. If you can make it part of your daily routine, once you stop you’ll miss it and you’ll be like, I need to do it, I need to do it,” Laura added.
