A group of PureGym personal trainers have advice and tips for how to maintain your fitness routine throughout the winter.
According to Chris Green, Personal Trainer at PureGym Glasgow, it’s important to first set yourself a goal.
He says: “Having something to aim towards is vital to keep yourself motivated during the cold winter months. Once you have that goal, write it down and keep it somewhere visible.”
Stephen Cartwright, Personal Trainer at PureGym Bristol suggests that its also important to maintain your nutrition.
He comments: “A healthy diet is vital to keeping your body healthy and to help you feel fuelled for your workouts.”
He also adds: “Ensure your diet is full of nutrient rich fruit and vegetables, complex carbohydrates and protein to help build and repair your muscles.”
In addition, Evie Warren, Personal Trainer at PureGym Norwich says to switch your routine up and that going for a 30 minute winter walk is a great alternative to going to the gym.
