Maria Fox managed to overhaul her lifestyle by losing a whopping 3.5 stone (50lb) in only seven months. But how did she do it?
The 51-year-old had been signed off sick from work because she began suffering with chronic fatigue, burnout and acute perimenopausal stress alongside other health ailments.
She decided it was time to try something different to help her feel like her old self again, and that’s when she discovered Lumen.
Maria said: “I purchased a Lumen because I knew I needed to do something to turn my health around.”
Lumen is a portable device to measure track and analyse people’s metabolism. It is a subscription service that allows users to choose between six, 12 or 18 month programmes and can be renewed at any time.
It promotes intermittent fasting and trains the metabolism to be more flexible with custom meal plans.
And only two months into her journey Maria had lost 16lb and the “weight kept falling off”.
“Lumen soon began to help me navigate towards a better path for my overall health – nutrition, sleep, activity levels and stress management – as I began to absorb all of the tools within the app and apply the daily nutrition plan to my life,” she added.
Maria continued to follow her daily Lumen nutritional plan and began to fine-tune her exercise routine.

She took part in three strength training sessions per week alongside cycling, which helped her to get fitter and stronger.
Her sleep improved and she even tried meditation to manage her stress levels, which can play a big part in unwanted weight gain.
Today, she weighs a healthy 10st 7lb (68kg), and fits perfectly into her new size 10 wardrobe.
“I am now 68kg, which was beyond any of my dreams!” Maria beamed. “I have a BMI of around 22.8 and all of my acute physical and mental symptoms have disappeared.
“So much so the cardiologist discharged me back to the local doctor, credited my health recovery to my change in lifestyle and nutrition, and said the interventions planned were no longer necessary.”
Maria’s metabolic flexibility also dramatically improved, which is the ability of the human body to switch back and forth between fat and carbohydrates.
By using the Lumen device, users can train their bodies to become more metabolically flexible.
Their website claims the more metabolically flexible a person is, the “easier” it is to lose weight and maintain weight loss.
It also helps increase muscle mass and energy levels, helping people sleep better and all this goes hand in hand with feeling healthier.
And Maria is certainly reaping the rewards. “I have already influenced so many others to invest in Lumen because it works,” she said.
“It has reversed serious health challenges and helped me to be the healthiest I could possibly be before I reached my 51st birthday!”
After embarking on this journey to a better lifestyle, Maria reignited her passion for fitness and has resumed her role as a self-employed indoor cycling and fitness instructor alongside working in the police service.
