The Chasers Road Trip: Anne Hegerty on taking part in the show

Weight loss goals can be achieved by following a healthy diet and exercise plan. The Chase regulars Mark Labbett, 55, Paul Sinha, 50, and Anne Hegerty, 62, have all spoken about their transformations in the past. Who has lost the most weight?

Mark Labbett

Mark first spoke about his weight loss in 2019 and revealed he transformed his diet for health reasons.

Speaking on Loose Women at the time, he stated: “It was the diabetes. My colleague Paul Sinha also got the diagnosis and he rapidly lost two stone and he went from being diabetic to pre or non-diabetic.”

Mark, who is known as The Beast on The Chase, explained he ditched sugar to help him slim down.

The father-of-one revealed keeping up with his young son also helped him stay active.

Mark has opened up about dropping three stone, and explained he lost four inches off his chest and six inches off his stomach in just six months.

Most recently, the slimmer shared a face to face picture on Instagram to show his weight loss efforts had continued.

“Leaner, meaner lockdown with good folks of muscle foods,” he stated in a sponsored post. “At this rate, I will be the skinniest Chaser.”

Fans praised the transformation, with one commenting: “Well done, you have done amazingly! Weight loss has taken years off you! Wish I had a bit of your willpower.”

Another added: “Wow, what a massive change. You have done so well Mark, you should be mega proud.”

Paul Sinha

The comedian and Chaser opened up about losing a staggering two stone as he changed his lifestyle.

Like his co-star Mark, Paul’s transformation was inspired by a desire to improve his health.

He previously took part in the ITV documentary Fast Fix: Diabetes where he learned about the possible damages of being overweight and its link to diabetes.

In the show, Paul was put on a diet of just 800 calories a day as part of a monitored medical trial.

Since the show ended, he has maintained a healthy diet and confirmed he has continued to lose weight.

Anne Hegerty

Anne, referred to as The Governess on The Chase, kick started her weight loss journey when appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.

In 2018 she took part in the show which is known for putting celebrities on a restricted diet.

Anne revealed she shed one stone during the three week stint and wanted to try and stay healthy after leaving the jungle.

Speaking to Jeremy Vine in 2019, she said: “The thing is my health is fine.

“Before I went into the jungle I had to have a load of tests and they all came back saying, ‘Your blood sugar is perfectly normal, your blood pressure is, if anything lower than perhaps it might be. We’ve spent an hour staring at scans of your heart, you don’t have any clogged-up arteries’.

“I’m not a fit fat person and I would like to be fitter, but I am not unhealthy.”
