Losing weight is no easy feat and looking to others who have slimmed down can be a great way to get inspiration. One woman recently went through an astounding weight loss transformation and shed 4st 2lb. Posting on Reddit, “fit4phoenix” explained she followed intermittent fasting and a keto diet plan to change her life in just five months. The low-carb and high-fat plan helped her slim down and she opened up to share exactly what she ate on the diet.
I followed strict keto 95 per cent of the time, but I did have a few cheat meals.
Posting pictures of her before and after losing weight on Reddit, she revealed she was 29-years-old and 5ft 7in.
“fit4phoenix” said she had slimmed down from 17st 11lb to a trim and healthy 13st 9lb.
The dieter first started shaping up by following a keto diet plan and she stayed on track with the help of intermittent fasting.
The keto diet requires slimmers to cut out high-carb foods and instead fill up on those with a high fat content and with moderate protein.
She posted: “I followed strict keto 95 per cent of the time, but I did have a few cheat meals. My cheats included non-keto foods but I tried to stay under 2,500 cals for the day to avoid gaining any weight.”
As well as this, she used intermittent fasting, a diet where people will eat all their meals within a certain time period each day and fast for the remaining hours.
The slimmer said: “I began practicing intermittent fasting in November just to see if I would like it and started eating in a 16:8 window, but eventually got used to it and now I do a 20:4 eating window. That made a huge difference in my weight loss consistency!”
She also gave potential slimmers a glimpse into what she would usually eat in a day.
“A typical day might be scrambled eggs with spinach, mushrooms and feta cheese, deli sliced rotisserie chicken with sliced cheese pickles and shredded lettuce, deli mustard and mayo – rolled up, served with handful 1oz peanuts, keto egg roll in a bowl or keto taco soup,” she added.
On top of her intensive diet plan, “fit4phoenix” explained she exercised three or four times a week to help her stay in shape.
The dieter said: “I do kettlebell workouts and circuit dumbbell workouts a few days a week – I write my own. I also try to run at least once a week at least two to three miles.
“In the winter, it’s tough to squeeze in my runs, but in the warmer seasons – I try to run three days a week!”
Slimmers can add exercise into their routines gradually if they want to see the best results, an expert revealed.
Doing things like taking the stairs and trying to take 10,000 steps a day will help people get moving.
To burn fat, adding in more cardio exercises can boost the metabolism and flatten the abs quickly.
