Kerry Katona is well known as a singer, actor and television personality. She has spoken about her weight loss over the years and what exercise plans she has used.

Earlier this year, the mother-of-five explained she had gained weight.

In a candid Instagram post, the Atomic Kitten singer said she had struggled to eat healthy food or exercise regularly.

However, Kerry has since started a new exercise regime and posted a video online earlier this month.

The social media clip showed her taking part in what appeared to be gentle yoga and pilates.

The caption read: “Trying to get myself back into shape.

“Haven’t trained since moving home and my routine has been all over the place.

“Routine, consistency and a good mindset is key.

“Still recovering from my op so taking it easy!”

Fans were quick to encourage the star and comment on her transformation.

One wrote: “Looking good Kerry,” while another said: “You are amazing!”

Another added: “You’re doing great, keep it up.”

A third agreed, and stated: “Good for you, always makes you feel better when you exercise.”

The 40-year-old has spoken about her love of yoga in the past.

In a social media post last year, Kerry displayed her toned frame and spoke about the benefits of yoga.

She wrote: “Doing yoga every morning without fail, I’m really seeing and feeling the benefits!

“Please remember it always starts with your mindset.”

In the 2020 post, Kerry added she would wake up as early as 5am to make sure she could fit in a session.

When trying to reach or maintain a healthy weight, exercise and nutrition are both important.

Some studies have looked into yoga and it’s calorie-burning effects.

Certain yoga sessions are more effective than others and it can help develop muscle tone, boost the metabolism and prevent weight gain.

Experts at Healthline stated: “Practice yoga as often as possible in order to lose weight.

“You can do a more active, intense practice at least three to five times per week for at least one hour.”
