  • 1 12 cupsunbleached white flour
  • 12 teaspoonsalt
  • 12 cupwarm water
  • 2tablespoonsolive oil, divided

    DIRECTIONS

  • Additional optional ingredients not included above: dried and/or fresh herbs, sliced tomatoes, cheese (Havarti is fantastic on this).
  • Mix dry ingredients, then add water and 1 1/2 T oil. Kneed dough one minute on floured surface.
  • Roll thin and place on a lightly oiled cookie sheet. Use a fork to poke holes over the entire surface.
  • Bake at 450 degrees F for ten minutes.
  • Remove from oven and brush with remaining olive oil, and optional dried herbs, and or sliced tomatoes.
  • Bake an additional 10 minutes or until the flat bread is done to your liking.
  • Remove from oven and add any fresh herbs or cheese. If adding cheese, put back into the oven until the cheese is melted.
