  • 14 cupvinegar
  • 1 12 cupswater
  • 14 cupsugar
  • 4 teaspoonsprepared mustard
  • 14 tablespoonsalt
  • 14 teaspooncayenne pepper
  • 2 thick slices lemons
  • 2 mediumonions, sliced
  • 12 cupbutter
  • 1 cupketchup or 1cupchili sauce
  • 3 tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce
  • Directions

  • Combine ingredients in a medium saucepan.
  • Simmer uncovered 20 minutes.
  • Cover and cook for 40 minutes longer.
  • Cool and refrigerate.
  • Reheat when ready to use.
