Black eyed peas and cabbage soup(authentic Greek recipe)

Ingredients

  1. 2 canned black eyed peas
  2. 1 medium head of green cabbage
  3. 1 can diced tomatoes
  4. 1 small can of tomato paste
  5. 1 onion

Steps

  1. Get a large pot, fill half way with water

  2. Cut the cabbage head into medium pieces

  3. Cut up the onion (small pieces)

  4. Open can of diced tomatoes and drain water

  5. Open the tomato paste and put in to the large pot of water

  6. Open both cans of black eyed peas and put them in the pot

  7. Than put the onions and the diced tomatoes and cabbage into the pot

  8. Let it cook for 1 hour, but make sure you stir it every 15 minutes
