- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 can corn, drained
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper

- 6 pounds red potatoes, washed and cut into 2-inch chunks
- Salt and pepper
- 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup heavy cream
Steps
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a baking pan.
In a skillet over medium heat, brown onions and garlic until cooked. Add meat and cook; drain juices.
Add corn, ketchup, salt and pepper; stir well.
Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes.
Carefully spread country mashed potatoes over meat and smooth out.
Put meat into prepared pan and press down to spread out and form an even layer.
Put potatoes in large pot and cover with water. Cover the pot and bring to a boil. Add a large pinch of salt and boil, uncovered, over medium high heat until tender, about 25 minutes.
Drain potatoes and return to pot.
Off the heat, lightly mash potatoes.
Add butter and milk; mix well. Season with salt and pepper; serve.
