I created this recipe for pickling ramps, leeks, and onion. The ginger counters the other flavors wonderfully:)Enjoy!!!
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup distilled white vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 clove diced garlic
- 4 inch ginger peeled, sliced thin
In a sauce pan, combine all ingredients, on high heat. Make sure food items being pickled are submerged while on stove.
Once the pickle bribe has began to boil, remove from heat, cover and wait a few minutes to finish pickling, and cook down.
Once cool, place in proper storage container and refrigerate.
