QOTW: Who/What are your cooking inspirations?

Happy Tuesday, kitchen friends!

It’s time for our QOTW (Question of the Week) where we’ll be talking about ingredients, methods, and sometimes just plain fun food stuff.

This week’s question comes from Lee in Texas who shares all kinds of delicious comfort food recipes – PB cookies, Chicken & Dumplings, Baked Beans, Italian Meatballs, Creamy Potato Soup, just to name a few!

And the question, which I think is a great one:

WHO/WHAT ARE YOUR COOKING INSPIRATIONS?

My earliest cooking inspirations are my mom and dad. My mom could replicate anything, and my dad had a handful of Korean comfort food staples that he would make for me and my brother. Later in life, I’ve really come to love the general cooking philosophies of Julia Child and Jacques Pepin. Not so much for their recipes, but for their very real, practical, frugal, and joyful approaches to cooking. And I’m always inspired by beautiful ingredients, specially fresh produce.

Who/what are your cooking inspirations? Can’t wait to hear all about them.

Thanks for the excellent question, Lee! If you’ve got QOTW ideas, do send me a chat, please. 🙂

Wishing you a fantastic week in the kitchen. <3
