Sausage and Noodles

INGREDIENTS

  • 13 12 ounces johnsonville andouille sausages, sliced thinly
  • one red pepper, roughly chopped
  • one yellow pepper, roughly chopped
  • one green pepper, roughly chopped
  • one half pint heavy cream
  • 1smallonion, chopped
  • 1tablespoongarlic
  • 1teaspoonred pepper flakes
  • 8ounces tricolor rotini pasta
  • 2cupswater
  • 2tablespoonsoil (I used bacon fat)
  • 1cupshredded cheddar cheese

    DIRECTIONS

  • Saute peppers, sausage, onion and garlic about 5 minutes, until onion is soft. Add red pepper flakes.
  • Add pasta, water 1/2 cup cream. Simmer about 20 minutes until pasta is done.
  • Add in remaining cream and cheese. Stir to melt.
  • Serve.
