Spicy sausage and pepper pasta (healthy version)

This is a single batch. It can easily be doubled and stretch the 1 pack of sausage into two meals


  1. 1 pack is Italian sausage (2-3 lbs)
  2. 3-4 red peppers chopped
  3. 1 medium onion chopped
  4. 2 tbsp chopped garlic
  5. Olive oil for sautéing
  6. 1 (15 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  7. 3-4 cups chicken broth
  8. 1 box Dreamfields pasta 13.5 oz
  9. 1 (8 oz) pack low fat cream cheese
  10. to taste Salt and pepper
  11. to taste Red crushed pepper flakes
  12. Fresh parsley for garnish


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Add sausage onto greased on sheet and cook for 30 min. Then flip and cook for another 10 min until golden brown

  2. Meanwhile sauté the chopped veggies and garlic in olive oil until soft.

  3. Add the can of crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, and seasoning. Bring to a boil and add pasta

  4. While pasta is cooking dice up the cooked sausage and add in. The last 2 min of the pasta cooking, add the cream cheese to sit on top of dish to soften. Remove from heat and stir in cream cheese and chopped parsley. Enjoy!
