One of the easiest and most delicious cookie. Sounds good to have then at tea time and im sure the kids will love them.
- 2 mini bowl All purpose flour/maida
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 1 1/2 vegetable ghee (i used dalda vegetable ghee)
- Pinch cardamom
- Almond for garnishing
Take the vegetable ghee into the mixer/grinder and grind it for one cycle till it becomes a smooth fine paste.
Take a bowl, add all purpose flour/maida and add caster sugar.
Mix well and add the vegetable ghee paste along with pinch of cardamom powder.
Dont add any water. Kned the dough well and follow the measurements i mentioned above, it will be perfect. If your adding more dough, add a little more ghee.
Keep kneding for atleast 10 minutes, till the dough becomes smooth and make sure that the dough doesn’t stick to plate.
Take a biscuit baking tray and brush a little oil on the tray to avoid sticking in case. If you wish to add a butter sheet, you can.
Make a shape if the dough as per your requirement and put them on the baking tray.
Sprinkle crushed almonds on top of the biscuits.
Pre heat oven at 180 degree Celsius for 10 minutes.
After 10 mins a d now reduce the cookie to 130 degree Celsius for atleast 20 – 25 minutes. (I only switched on the down part of the oven to bake)
Keep checking and if you have a wooden tooth pick just poke it a little and see. Also check the bottom of the biscuit to avoid dark brown burns.
At end, for atleast 3 minutes just on the top part of oven with same 130 degree C. Dont keep for more than 3 minutes.
Once its done, the dough may seem smooth but one you let it out to cool, it will form a proper biscuit.
