Brussels sprouts have a bad reputation and are thought of by many as one of those nasty vegetables that are left behind on dinner plates.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, people may not like the taste of them because they are not cooking them properly.<\/p>\n

With Christmas coming up, Jamie Oliver has shared his \u201cbest-ever\u201d Brussels sprouts recipe that takes just 30 minutes to make.<\/p>\n

The chef urges households to celebrate the humble sprout with this \u201cinsanely delicious recipe\u201d.<\/p>\n

This recipe can be served straight from the pan or made ahead and crisped up in the oven on the big day \u2013 both ways work.<\/p>\n

Not too tricky to make, this recipe has seven ingredients households will likely have in their kitchen.<\/p>\n

Ingredients\u00a0<\/h3>\n

800g Brussels sprouts<\/p>\n

Two Cumberland sausages<\/p>\n

15g sage<\/p>\n

20g unsalted butter<\/p>\n

One onion<\/p>\n

One sweet-eating apple<\/p>\n

One tablespoon Worcestershire sauce\u00a0<\/p>\n

Method<\/h3>\n

1.<\/strong> Begin by trimming the Brussels sprouts and peeling away at any tatty outer leaves, halving any larger ones and keeping the smaller ones whole. Cook in a large pan of boiling salted water for five minutes, then drain and leave to steam dry.<\/p>\n
