Air fryer recipe for blueberry muffins takes less than 10 minutes to follow

Cakes come in all shapes and sizes, one of the most popular of which is the humble blueberry muffin.

The fruit-infused sponges are loved as a sweet treat to be enjoyed at any time of the day, and they’re easy to make from scratch.

Candice Bannister, baking expert and owner of Candy’s Cupcakes revealed that they’re one of a handful of teatime recipes that can be made exclusively in an air fryer.

And for this recipe, all that’s needed is a handful of simple ingredients including butter, eggs, sugar and flour.

While the formula resembles those used for traditional blueberry muffins, these ones cook in less than 10 minutes using an efficient kitchen gadget.

Air fryer blueberry muffin recipe

Unlike most recipes, there’s no need to preheat the oven or air fryer before making the batter, so it’s quick to get stuck in.

Start by combining the sieved flour and baking powder in a large bowl along with the sugar and a pinch of salt.

In a separate bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract to form the wet batter.

Blend the wet and dry ingredients together in one of the bowls using a spoon to stir it all well, then add in the fresh blueberries.

Source some silicone muffin cups and divide the mixture amongst each one ready to be cooked

The muffin cases can be put directly into the air fryer and cooked for around eight or 10 minutes at 180C until firm and cooked in the centre.
